Alstom has received an order worth approximately 20 million Euros to supply new generator equipment to Ringhals Nuclear Power Station in Sweden.
The order comprises two stators and one rotor to replace the existing generator equipment.
The scope of supply covers dismantling old equipment, as well as the design, manufacture and installation of the new equipment, including service and maintenance.
The rotor and the first stator will be installed during a planned overhaul period in the summer of 2004, and the second stator will be replaced one year later.
‘The order confirms our successful focus on remaining the preferred service supplier to the Swedish nuclear power industry’, said Bengt Assarsson, Manager of Alstom’s Customer Service Business in Sweden.
‘The order was won against tough competition with six other generator suppliers and we are very pleased with the confidence that the customer has shown in our technology and our ability.’
