Titan wins $54.8 million AWACS support contract

The Titan Corporation announced yesterday that it has been awarded a $54.8 million contract by the US Air Force to support the AWACS program office.

The Titan Corporation announced yesterday that it has been awarded a contract by the US Air Force having a potential value, with options if exercised, of $54.8 million through to December 2006.

Awarded by the Air Force’s Electronic Systems Center (ESC), the contract supports ESC’s Information Technology Services Program needs for the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) Program Office.

Under this award, Titan will provide technical and acquisition management support, program planning, logistics and sustainment support, test planning and execution. Titan will also provide a wide range of administrative support for US and international AWACS programs.

In addition, Titan will be supporting the AWACS program office as it integrates technologies for sustainable airborne battle management and Command & Control capabilities.
