Jarrow electronics firm Summit 1 Technology, which specialises in printed circuit board (PCB) assembly for the automotive and industrial markets, is creating 18 jobs as part of expansion plans.
Summit 1 Technology has secured an £82,000 Selective Finance for Investment grant from RDA One NorthEast to bolster its expansion project, which will include the purchase of a new production line to meet increased demand, boosting its production capacity by 25 per cent.
Currently employing 67 members of staff, the 18 new roles will range from assembly work to senior technical positions.
The company’s client list includes RDM Automotive, for which it produces the stolen vehicle tracking systems fitted to prestige vehicles including Aston Martin, Jaguar and Land Rover.
