Wellingborough-headquartered Sarantel, which manufactures filtering antennas for mobile and wireless devices, has received production orders for a GPS antenna from Skygolf.

The SkyCaddie Pro SG2.5 rangefinder is the second device in the SkyCaddie Pro Series to be launched by SkyGolf. It uses GPS technology to enable golfers to measure the full depth and shape of the green from any angle of approach, and shows distances for all targets and hazards on any of SkyGolf’s library of over 16,000 professionally mapped courses in 45 countries.

David Wither, chief executive of Sarantel said: ‘SkyGolf selected Sarantel’s GeoHelix GPS antenna for the SkyCaddie Pro Series because of its small size, robust hand-held performance and its ability to provide unmatched positional accuracy in an easy to use, compact, hand-portable device.

‘SkyGolf and Sarantel are excited about the growth prospects for this dynamic GPS market segment and for the SkyCaddie Pro Series which has recently received endorsements from the USPGA, the Canadian PGA and the European PGA.’
