Benham Manufacturing invests in cyber tool management

New Forest precision-engineering company Benham Manufacturing is investing more than a million pounds in new technology.

Three sophisticated turning and milling machines have been imported from Japanese manufacturers Mazak, together with a Zoller cyber tool management system, which allows complex tool presetting, minimising machine downtime and maximising spindle up time.

They will be used at Benham’s headquarters on the Rushington Business Park in Totton to make complex parts for the aerospace and defence industries to high specifications.

In all, the current programme totals £1.25m and more investment in equipment is planned for the near future.
