Extreme supplies rugged cases for German Army project

Over the next 18 months, as partner to service company Serco on the TinNwv project for the German Army, Extreme Cases will be supplying a range of rugged aluminium cases and containers for the integration of deployable networks.

Extreme’s engineering team has worked closely with Serco to design a range of cases and containers with features designed to make integration, operation and maintenance more user friendly.

Supplies will include: Mil-Std-810F 19” rack-mounted cases with air-conditioning; a lightweight ½ 19” rucksack, designed as an integral part of a small wireless network; and others from Extreme’s latest range of rugged containers.

All products will be manufactured at Extreme’s highly automated Stoke-on-Trent factory, where Amada punch presses and laser cutters will be making use of their ‘lights-out’ capability to ensure the 14 tons of aluminium required for the contract is processed on time.
