Renishaw announces record results in 2011 interim report

Optical spectroscopy manufacturer Renishaw has posted its 2011 interim report and announced a 26 per cent increase in revenue up from the previous highest first half year in 2009.

First half year revenue totalled £129.3m, breaking the company’s previous record, while profit before tax came to £35.5m, marking a 132 per cent increase on the company’s previous record set in 2006.

Renishaw also reported record first-half-year earnings per share of 39.0p, compared with the previous highest first half year of 16.9p in 2006.

The company reported net cash balances of £28.9m for the half year and a record order book of £28.4m at December 2010.
