Rockwell Collins orders Parvus mission-computer subsystems

Eurotech subsidiary Parvus has announced a contract with aviation-systems company Rockwell Collins to supply 53 Duracor 810 mission-computer subsystems in support of the Joint Precision Approach and Landing System (JPALS) Increment 1 program.

All units under contract were shipped as of the end of 2010. No other financial details were disclosed.

JPALS Increment 1 provides the US Navy with a secure, all-weather shipboard landing system, using GPS technology to provide a survivable, day-night precision approach and landing capability for vessels afloat.

Parvus’ Duracor 810 subsystems will be implemented as part of Rockwell Collins’ Datalink Interface Unit (DIU), which provides secure communications capability between the ship and aircraft.
