Information delivered directly to browser

Emerson Process Management (EPM) has launched e-fficiency, an Internet-based service that delivers information about performance of process plant equipment directly to a web browser.

Emerson Process Management (EPM) has launched e-fficiency, an Internet-based service that delivers information about performance of process plant equipment directly to a web browser for secure access by process manufacturing customers.

In designing the service, EPM’s aim was to provide process manufacturing companies with the ability to access equipment performance data from anywhere in the world.

Designed for personnel involved with maintenance, reliability or rotating equipment, the service provides access to performance results, customised reports and graphical representations for monitoring plant equipment performance, within a secure web-based environment. It supports all major process plant equipment, including compressors, gas and steam turbines, heat exchangers, furnaces and pumps.

Users will be able to track equipment degradation and costs, compare equipment performance across multiple plants and access equipment performance data remotely over the Internet. With this information, it will be possible to produce accurate reports against performance targets and react quickly to changes in equipment performance. Remote optimisation of cleaning and maintenance cycles will also be possible.

A full tour and online demonstration of the package is available at www.e-fficiency.com/tour/tour1_master.asp.
