Phillips-founded NXP Semiconductors has announced an investment of more than €90m over the next five years in the expansion of wireless USB technology in Singapore


Philips-founded NXP Semiconductors has announced an investment of more than €90m over the next five years in the expansion of wireless USB technology in Singapore.



NXP’s USB Innovation Center in Singapore will collaborate with the US team to develop technology for the standardisation, design, test and product engineering, system and software development, as well as marketing for the W-USB technology.



According to NXP, W-USB offers data transfer speeds of 480mbps at a range of 10m.


The USB Innovation Center was set up ten years ago.
