The company will also provide liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for catering, vehicle washing facilities and technical support services, plus a system for tracking and reporting carbon emissions.
BP aims to support the Cultural Olympiad to build upon its extensive arts, culture and education programmes. Through touring exhibitions and outreach programmes, it is hoped that the initiatives will provide opportunities to promote and support the Cultural Olympiad across the UK.
BP group chief executive Tony Hayward said: ‘As the UK’s largest company with headquarters in London we want to support this momentous event which will also provide a unique opportunity to engage with our own large UK and global workforce, the millions of customers we serve each day and our existing partners in the arts, education and cultural arena.’
