Tridan Engineering

As we are all only too well aware companies are at present operating in some of the most difficult trading conditions that have been experienced for many years. During these tough times it is very common for companies, particularly those that operate in

In February of this Tridan Engineering completed investment in a new Mazak CNC turning centre which not only replaced an existing machine tool but also expanded Tridan’s capabilities into mill turn for the first time.  This was closely followed by the replacement and upgrading of the company’s DNC links which now gives real-time data transfer and storage to all current machine tools.

We are now very pleased to be able to confirm two further machine tool purchases which are expected to be fully operational by early September 2009.

In an effort to continually improve Tridan’s ability to compete in small to medium volume markets the purchase of a third Mazak VTC-200C2 machine has been agreed which will aid and compliment the existing production cells.

In addition to this a further XYZ 710 vertical machining centre is to be installed.  The purpose of this new machine tool, which will also be fitted with an integrated 4th axis, is to service the ever-increasing demand for one off and small batch work.  The inclusion of the very latest conversational programming software will also allow much greater flexibility where fast turnarounds are demanded on this particular type of work.

These continuous investments will not only help us to maintain and improve our current cost base but will also help protect Tridan from the ongoing and very real threat posed by much higher fuel, energy and raw material charges.

The business policy pursued by Tridan will ensure the business remains very much customer focused and we believe these latest investments are further evidence of our determination to meet all of our customer’s needs.  Our ongoing investment policy, coupled with the very strong and diverse customer base enjoyed by Tridan, has also seen staffing levels rise this year by 7% overall.  Part of this increase has been the addition of another apprentice taking the number onsite to three.  This is seen as an area vital for the future growth of Tridan.

Whilst we take this opportunity to thank you for your continuing and valued support we also assure you of our continued best intentions.
