BASF notes 30 per cent increase in sales

Chemical company BASF has announced second-quarter 2010 sales of €16.2bn (£13.5bn) − an increase of 30 per cent over the previous year − while income from operations (EBIT) before special items rose 94 per cent to €2.2bn.

Sales in the first six months increased 28 per cent to €31.7bn and EBIT before special items rose 96 per cent to €4.2bn.
