Cobham wins Northrop Grumman intercom contract

Cobham Defence Communications, a provider of military-vehicle communications systems, has received contracts valued at $26m (£17m) from military-systems developer Northrop Grumman for the ongoing supply of its ROVIS (AN/VIC-3) digital vehicular intercom systems in support of  US Army Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS) requirements.

The intercom system provides enhanced communication and situational awareness to users of wheeled and tracked military vehicles, including the mine-resistant ambush protected (MRAP) vehicle and the recently fielded M-ATV (MRAP All Terrain Vehicle).

All deliveries will be made by the end of 2010.
