ISS notes increase in quarterly revenue

Fabless semiconductor company Integrated Silicon Solution (ISS) has reported that revenue in the third fiscal quarter ended 30 June 2010 was $71.2m (£45.8m) − a 24.9 per cent increase from $57m in second-quarter 2010 and an 83.1 per cent increase from $38.9m in second-quarter 2009. 

Gross margin was 38.4 per cent, which compares with 37.2 per cent in second-quarter 2010 and 25.1 per cent in third-quarter 2009.

The company reported operating income of $13.3m, compared with $6.8m in the previous quarter and a loss of $1.9m in the prior-year quarter. 

Net income was $16m, or $0.57 per diluted share, which compares with $7.2m, or $0.27 per diluted share, in the previous quarter and a net loss of $1.9m, or $0.08 per diluted share, in the prior-year quarter.
