Kemet reveals quarterly net sales

Kemet, a provider of capacitor technology, has reported that net sales for the quarter ended 30 June 2010 were $243.8m (£156.1m), which is a 62.3 per cent increase over the same quarter last year and a 14.5 per cent increase over the prior quarter.

On a GAAP basis, net loss was $20.1m, or $0.25 per basic and diluted share, compared with $25.1m, or $0.31 per basic and diluted share, for the same quarter last year and $0.3m, or $0 per basic and diluted share, for the prior quarter. 

Non-GAAP adjusted net income was $22.3m, or $0.28 per basic share and $0.15 per diluted share, compared with adjusted net loss of $10.3m, or $0.13 per basic and diluted share, for the same quarter last year and compared with an adjusted net income of $8.8m, or $0.11 per basic share and $0.06 per diluted share, for the prior quarter.
