Synaptics reveals increase in revenue

Synaptics, a developer of human-interface solutions, has revealed that net revenue for the fourth quarter of 2010 was $145.8m (£93.3m) − an increase of 26 per cent over $115.3m a year ago and 25 per cent over $116.2m in the previous quarter.

Net income was $19.3m, or $0.54 per diluted share, compared with $12.4m, or $0.34 per diluted share, a year ago and net income of $11.6m, or $0.33 per diluted share, in the third quarter of fiscal 2010.

Non-GAAP net income was $24.8m − an increase of 44 per cent over the prior year and an increase of 52 per cent from the previous quarter.

Non-GAAP net income was $0.7 in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2010 − an increase of 49 per cent over the prior year and an increase of 52 per cent compared with the previous quarter.
