Marine engineers set to receive two-spindle cell from Mollart

A team of Chinese marine engine builders are due to take delivery of a £500,000 Prismabore combination two-spindle milling and gun-drilling cell from Mollart Engineering.

The Prismabore PRB-40 machine — which has a drilling capacity of 3–40mm diameter by 1,500mm deep — will be utilised to produce four rocker arms for use in large marine diesel engines.

The delivery follows two weeks of acceptance trials and deep-hole drilling process training carried out at Mollart’s plant in Chessington, Surrey.
