Tata Motors Group announces higher sales for fiscal year

Tata Motors Group has announced that global wholesales, including Jaguar Land Rover, were 94,055, in June 2012, higher by six per cent over June 2011.

Cumulative sales for the fiscal year are 276,524 higher by seven per cent compared to the corresponding period in 2011–12.

According to a statement, global sales of all commercial vehicles — Tata, Tata Daewoo and the Tata Hispano Carrocera range — were 47,896, in June 2012, a growth of six per cent. Cumulative sales for the fiscal year are flat at 130,932.

Global sales of all passenger vehicles were at 46,159 in June 2012, higher by seven per cent. Cumulative sales for the fiscal year are 145,592, higher by 12 per cent.

Global sales of Tata passenger vehicles were at 17,944 for the month, lower by 21 per cent over June 2011. Cumulative sales for the fiscal year are at 62,140, lower by eight per cent.

Global sales of Jaguar Land Rover in June 2012 were at 28,215 vehicles, higher by 39 per cent over June 2011. Jaguar sales for the month were 3,829, lower by five per cent, while Land Rover sales were 24,386, higher by 49 per cent. Cumulative sales of Jaguar Land Rover for the fiscal year are 83,452, higher by 34 per cent. Cumulative sales of Jaguar are 11,774, higher by four per cent, while cumulative sales of Land Rover are 71,678, higher by 41 per cent.
