e2v has been awarded a grant of £2.9m from Round 4 of the Regional Growth Fund (RGF), administered by the UK Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS).
The project is expected to last five years and is part of an overall investment of £9m. It will enable e2v to further develop its business in the radiotherapy marketplace, developing and establishing manufacturing and test processes as a part of its strategic plan to move from the supply of components into sub-systems and services, in partnership with key customers.
e2v was successful in rounds 1 and 3 of the RGF awards, for microwave generator development and space imaging technology and service development, receiving a total of £10m.
The Regional Growth Fund is a £2.6bn fund operating across England from 2011 to 2016. It supports projects and programmes that are using private sector investment to create economic growth and employment.
