UK facility nets $17 million repair deal

Honeywell announced recently that it has signed an agreement to repair the wheels and brakes of easyJet’s fleet of 46 Boeing 737-300 aircraft at Honeywell’s facilities in Feltham, UK.

The contract is valued at nearly $17 million over the life of the contract.

‘As a global company with a growing presence in Europe, Honeywell has both the manufacturing and service facilities that enable us to support our European airline and OEM customer base,’ said Peg Billson, Honeywell Aircraft Landing Systems Vice President & General Manager.

‘Our facility in Feltham delivers repair times that are routinely five days or less,’ added Billson.

The Feltham facility is said to have the capability to repair both steel and carbon brakes for virtually any commercial aircraft in operation today. A routine overhaul consists of brake housing repair, replacement of the friction material and, if needed, the brake rotors.
