Four female apprentices from Horwich-based training provider Alliance Learning have secured jobs at some of Bolton’s top aviation, construction and process engineering companies.
Laura Fisher and Stephanie Cox are both employed by Bethell Construction, who provide mechanical, electrical and civil engineering services. Mary Croft works for APPH, who are part of the BBA Aviation Group.
The three girls are working towards their Performing Engineering Operations qualification and are proving to be valued members of their teams.
The fourth apprentice is Cherie Gibson, who is working towards her Advanced Apprenticeship in Fabrication & Welding and applying the skills at Abbfab Services.
Alliance Learning is contracted by the Greater Manchester Learning and Skills Council to provide support and training for learners on apprenticeships.
Spokesmen Chris Peach said: ‘These girls are studying hard and working towards nationally recognised qualifications. Currently, they are helping boost the local economy, but they could end up anywhere in the UK working for a whole host of market-leading organisations.’
