Comtech receives $12m in satellite services orders

Communication-systems supplier Comtech Telecommunications has announced that its Santa Clara, California-based subsidiary Comtech Xicom Technology has received orders aggregating $12m (£8m) to address the needs of multiple customers for different applications.

The first order was for $6.7m and was for state-of-the-art high-power Ka-band frequency amplifiers, addressing the broadband satellite services market.

The second order was for $4m for Ka-band products for commercial Direct-to-Home (DTH) satellite services.

The third order, which was a follow-on order, was for $1.3m and addressed high-power amplifiers supporting strategic airborne combinations.
