Fluor reports mechanical completion of gas plant

Engineering company Fluor has announced that it has reached mechanical completion on solar power company Renewable Energy’s Silicon IV silane-gas plant for its Moses Lake Expansion Project in eastern Washington state.

The Silicon IV plant is currently in a testing and commissioning phase, in preparation for production start-up.

When completed, the silane-processing plant will provide silane gas for the production of high-grade polysilicon for use in solar panel manufacturing.
