Halma seeks acquisitions following strong results

Safety, health and sensor technology group Halma has announced a nine per cent rise in profits to £86m and a one per cent rise in revenue to £459m.

The UK-based group − which includes photonics companies Ocean Optics, Ocean Thin Films, Labsphere and Fiberguide − has posted strong financials to raise shareholder dividends by seven per cent.

The company plans to augment its organic growth efforts through the acquisition of complementary technology companies, with photonics, water, fluid technology and health optics being a particular focus.

It has £100m earmarked for acquisitions.
