SHP to offer mobile-phone recycling in Middle East

Lancaster-based recycling firm SHP has signed a multi-million-pound deal to offer the first ever mobile-phone recycling service to the Middle East.

The company is partnering with Middle East electrical retail chain Emax to launch ‘Cash for Mobiles’, through which customers can bring an old phone into the store to be instantly assessed and exchanged for cash.

The phones are then recycled by SHP, with working phones refurbished and sent to developing nations.
