Xyratex posts second-quarter revenue

Xyratex, a provider of data-storage subsystems, has announced that revenues for the second quarter ended 31 May 2010 were $455.9m (£304m), an increase of 134.1 per cent compared with revenues of $194.7m for the same period last year.

GAAP net income was $43.7m, or $1.39 per diluted share, compared with GAAP net loss of $9.6m, or $0.33 per share, in the prior-year period.

Non-GAAP net income was $46.8m, or $1.49 per diluted share, compared with non-GAAP net loss of $6.6m, or $0.22 per share, in the same quarter a year ago.
