Monitoring water levels down the well

FluidTrax is claimed to be the first electronic water level monitoring system for permanent installation in operating wells.

Claimed to be the first electronic water level monitoring system for permanent installation in operating wells, the FluidTrax from BEI Edcliff Instruments consists of a rugged monitoring unit and probe which gives accurate readings from a hermetically sealed pressure transmitter. The probe is installed in the well near the pump inlet and connects to a surface display unit via a fully protected cable.

The FluidTrax system is designed to reduce early pump failures and helps extend pump life by allowing users to set constant pumping rates to maintain the well at its most efficient water level.

As the system is permanently installed, there is no wasted time and effort re-deploying probes each time a measurement is needed. Unlike probes utilising plastic tube constructions, its armoured steel cable resists damage during installation and will provide many years of trouble free operation.

The system can be installed while the well is in operation and is fully compatible with remote monitoring devices used in telemetry or Scada systems.
