Rockwell Software has introduced RSPower 32 Version 2.0 software to its Power and Energy Management Solutions (PEMS).
RSPower32 is a Microsoft Windows-based program that supports Allen-Bradley power monitors by managing configurations and displaying real-time and historical data sorted within power monitors.
Typically used with Rockwell Software RSView32 human-machine interface (HMI) software as an add-on component, RSPower32 provides a view of a facility’s electrical system by integrating power-monitoring information into factory automation HMI packages. The Version 2.0 also optimises the interface between RSPower32 and the Allen Bradley Powermonitor 3000 and Powermonitor II for enhanced communications.
RSPower32 allows users to measure, analyse or control electric power, while checking for consistency. Target applications include emergency load shedding, distribution system monitoring, power quality monitoring, demand management and power system control.
An emergency load shedding feature prevents the loss of critical loads and avoids total shutdown due to unforeseen loss of power.
For a graphical view of power system parameters and operation, the software allows users to configure and view all Allen Bradley power monitors, displaying real-time and historical data, including waveforms and harmonics.
The program saves important data to disk for future reference and prints reports to share power information with appropriate personnel. RSPower32 monitors voltage, current, power flow and power quality.
