The contract calls for the delivery of 300MW turbine capacity in 2008, and 100MW of capacity in 2009. The capacity, to be supplied through Suzlon’s S88-2.1 MW turbine, will be delivered starting in 2008.
This agreement is Suzlon’s single-largest contract for wind turbine capacity to date. The turbine agreement includes the supply of 143 S88-2.1MW units in 2008, and 48 units in 2009.
Suzlon is also contracted for operations, maintenance and service of the wind turbines for two years with an option for five more years, and will do so by expanding its service territory with new facilities to meet demand.
