Wallgate has invested £300,000 in casting machinery, which will enable the company to increase capacity by 75 per cent and create 20 jobs.
The installation of the new Gruber Economiser Continuous Casting Machine at the company’s Crow Lane site in Wiltshire will enable Wallgate to meet customer demand.
Wallgate managing director Trevor Powell said: ‘Increasing demand from new customers means that we need to provide an even faster turnaround for our main product lines. This is why we have decided to make this major investment.’
He added: ‘As well as guaranteeing work for twenty more employees, this investment will mean better working conditions, a more pleasant production environment and more automated handling. This means that our capacity will increase significantly to meet to growing demand for our products.’
