Camtek first-quarter revenues up 90 per cent

Camtek, a supplier of automated solutions for the semiconductor and PCB industries, has announced that revenues for the quarter ended 31 March 2010 increased 90 per cent to $17.6m (£11.8m), compared with $9.3m in the first quarter of 2009.

Gross profit on a GAAP basis for the quarter was $7m, compared with gross profit of $3.5m in the first quarter of 2009, while on a non-GAAP basis gross profit totalled $7.3m, compared with $3.5m in the first quarter of 2009.

Non-GAAP net loss for the first quarter of 2010 totalled $0.3m, or $0.01 per share, compared with a net loss of $5.5m, or a loss of $0.19 per share, in the first quarter of 2009.

On a GAAP basis, net loss in the first quarter of 2010 was $0.9m, or a loss of $0.03 per share, compared with $5.5m, or $0.19 per share, in the prior-year quarter.
