Exxon awards pipe contracts to Glamal

US oil and gas corporation Exxon Mobil has selected Glamal Engineering, a Stockton-on-Tees-based provider of stainless-steel and carbon products, to supply custom-made pipes, fittings and flanges across two five-year contracts, worth more than €5m (£4.2m).

The company has awarded its five-year, €4m pan-European agreement to the Galperti Group, of which Glamal Engineering will service the Fawley refinery in Southampton.

Glamal has also been appointed to deliver Exxon’s five-year Framework Agreement, which will service the Sarpom and Augusta refineries in Northern Italy and Sicily.

Over the course of the five years, Glamal will supply the Italian refinery with approximately 7,500 tonnes of bespoke pipes, fittings and flanges in a range of materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel and alloy steel.
