Trimble announces financial results for first quarter 2011

Positioning technologies provider Trimble has announced first-quarter revenue of $384.3m, up 20 per cent as compared with the first quarter of 2010.

Operating income for the first quarter of 2011 was $43.7m, up 21 per cent as compared to the first quarter of 2010.

Non-GAAP operating income of $70.1m was up 23 per cent from the first quarter of 2010, while non-GAAP operating margin was 18.2 per cent compared to 17.9 per cent in last year’s first quarter.

Net income was $39.7m, up 42 per cent year over year, while diluted earnings per share in the first quarter of 2011 were $0.32, representing an increase from $0.23 in the first quarter of 2010.
