SAIC wins $32.12 million contract

A team led by Science Applications International Corporation has been awarded $32.12 million to help consolidate US Army Europe (USAREUR) information technology services.

A team led by Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has been awarded a task order to provide the US Army Europe (USAREUR) the support required to consolidate USAREUR information technology (IT) services throughout Europe.

Members of SAIC’s team include Hewlett Packard, Seidcon and Pacific Star Communications.

According to SAIC, this cost-plus-fixed-fee task order has a potential value of $38,120,000 and will be performed over a period of three years.

The consolidation activities to be performed under this contract will support server management, end-user computing, help desk, local area network, and wide area network/metropolitan area network services.

‘The goal of this task order is to bring the best industry practices to the Army as it continues its efforts to transform its information infrastructure or infostructure,’ said Peter Dube SAIC senior vice president and manager of the Integrated Network Engineering & Operations Group.
