Jaguar’s gold standard

Jaguar and Land Rover have been awarded a gold standard Quality Mark from the UK Resource Centre for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology (UKRC).

The award recognises Jaguar and Land Rover as a leading place for women engineers and scientists to work. Companies assess their commitment and achievements in the area of gender equality and diversity against the UKRC’s criteria, which include leadership and management, policy development, working environment and performance

Annette Williams, UKRC Director, said: ‘The scheme aims to not only assess employers’ current status in relation to gender equality, but to support them in developing future action plans and measuring year-on-year progress and impact. Ultimately, the Quality Mark will provide organisations with a tool against which they can benchmark their own performance with others in their industry and Jaguar and Land Rover are certainly setting a positive example.’

There are four levels of assessment under the Quality Mark: bronze, silver, gold and platinum.
