Pattonair extend Rolls-Royce contract

Umeco’s Derby-based Pattonair business has signed a five-year extension to its long term supply chain contract with Rolls-Royce.

The new contract, which expires in 2015, will be managed from Pattonair’s new £7m facility being built in Derby. Pattonair’s existing operations in Derby will be retained to service the company’s growing business with Goodrich Actuation Systems.

Umeco, an international provider of supply chain services and advanced composite materials to the aerospace & defence and automotive industries, will fund the required additional working capital and capital expenditure from its existing banking facilities.

Clive Snowdon, chief executive of Umeco, said: ‘Through our dedicated new facility in Derby, we will be providing Rolls-Royce with a much broader range of services, helping them to meet the growing demand for their aerospace engine range and to enhance further their aftermarket customer service.’
