Varley Pumps for Malaysian rig

Malaysian oil and gas company Inovatif Erat Sdn Bhd has ordered three closed drain transfer pumps from Luton rotary gear pump manufacturer, Varley Pumps


Malaysian oil and gas company Inovatif Erat Sdn Bhd (IESB) has ordered three Closed Drain Transfer (CDT) pumps from Luton rotary gear pump manufacturer, Varley Pumps.



Varley, a division of the Hayward Tyler Group, is providing the pumps for use on an off-shore oil and gas rig in the South China Sea.

The rig has been designed by Aker Kvaerner and is being built by Sime Darby Engineering, Malaysia‘s leading heavy equipment and utilities multinational. Located offshore between Malaysia and Vietnam, the rig is part of the Bunga Orkid Development Project which is operated by Talisman Malaysia.



The order consists of two off-CDT pumps delivering 5m3/hour at a pressure of 10 bar, and 1 CDT pump delivering 31m3/hour at a pressure of 6 bar, all fabricated from super duplex stainless steel.
