Cheshire, UK, 5th November 2008: TCT 2008 recently closed its doors on the biggest and most successful edition to date. This resounding success is further proof of its position as the UK’s leading design, development and manufacturing technology exhibition.
During the course of the two-day show at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, more than 2200 visitors came through the doors to see the very latest in product design and innovation technologies. The vibe on the exhibition floor was positive, generated by the enthusiasm of both visitors and exhibitors alike, which is testament to the vital role of the show in bringing together the industry to exchange and share ideas and knowledge in what might be termed uncertain trading conditions. As well as from the UK and Europe, visitors attended the show from all over the world including Japan, South Africa and Israel.
Exhibitor, Rachel Collier, Technical Sales Manager at Midas Pattern Company, said, “There was a really good atmosphere at the show, with lots of energetic and positive visitors ready to discuss existing and future projects. We were delighted to welcome a healthy mix of new prospects and existing customers at what has been one of our best exhibitions ever.”
The organisers, Rapid News Publications plc, fully acknowledge that the success of the show is due in no small part to the substantial efforts of the exhibitors many of whom used the event to launch new products into the marketplace.
Z-Corporation, Concept Laser, Objet Geometries and Mcor Technologies amongst others, all debuted machines at the event and this “launch focus” has helped to develop TCT into a ‘must visit’ for anyone working within the design and development community.
Duncan Wood, Sales and Marketing Director, commented, “The commitment of the exhibitors and the constant evolution of their products ensures a safe future for TCT as the cutting edge of product development and manufacturing. We are delighted that many of our clients have already reserved their space for the 2009 show based on the success they achieved in Coventry.”
“Once again we have proved that well managed and marketed engineering events in the UK have a strong future and that exorbitant stand charges do not have to be part of a successful event. We are committed to continuing to offer a cost effective and vibrant forum for the sharp end of design and manufacturing technologies and are looking forward to enhancing the “Live” experience in 2009.”
The last word should perhaps go to Osamu Makabe, Marketing Manager of headline sponsors Huntsman Advanced Materials. “Congratulations to TCT for another successful show. Our sales, marketing and technology teams were pleased with the increased attendance of key customers to our booth and with the response to new products and new technology that Huntsman were introducing to public.”
TCT Live 2009 will be held 20/21 October at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, UK. TCT is co-located with MM Live, the micro, precision and nano manufacturing event.
