Nissan has announced financial results for the first half of fiscal year 2010 ending 31 March 2011, as well as second-quarter performance.
In the six months through September, net income after taxes totaled JPY208.4bn (£1.6bn), an increase of JPY199.4bn compared with the same period last year.
Net revenues were JPY4.3 trillion (£30.8bn) in the April-to-September period, up 27.7 per cent compared with a year ago.
Ordinary profit was JPY315.1bn, operating profit was JPY334.9bn and operating profit margin came to 7.8 per cent.
In the first half Nissan sold 2,009,000 vehicles worldwide, up 23.8 per cent compared with last year.
