Saab receives order for Indian coastal surveillance

Defence and security company Saab has received an order from the Indian Maritime Authority, Directorate General of Lighthouses and Lightships (DGLL), for supply of a system for coastal surveillance for the entire Indian coast.

The order is worth approximately SEK116m and the project will start immediately, to be completed within 18 months.

Comprising sensors to be installed along the Indian coast and equipment for regional and national control centers, the system will also be used by DG Shipping, Coast Guard and the Indian navy.

Saab will implement the project, which includes installation, commissioning, training and support, together with their Indian partner Elcome Marine Services.
