SES commits to protect Grade II listed library

Building services firm SES has won a contract worth £8m to install mechanical and electrical (M&E) services to Liverpool Central Library – but as it is a Grade II listed building, the firm has committed to complete a significant part of the work offsite.

SES will manufacture more than 60 per cent of its components in a factory setting in order to reduce its carbon footprint and protect the original features of the building.

SES, working closely with main contractor Shepherd Construction, will start work onsite in December this year and complete the project by the end of 2012.
