Transmashholding, Alstom and KTZ set to supply locomotives

A consortium comprising Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ), Alstom and Transmashholding (TMH) is to supply 295 electric locomotives to the Kazakh railway company.

The contract was signed in Paris on 27 October 2010, confirming Kazakh Railways’ €1.3bn (£1.1bn) order.

It is the first contract won outside Russia by Alstom and Transmashholding as part of their strategic partnership initiated in 2009 and will take effect on 11 March 2011.
