Bombardier receives Q400 order from ANA group

Bombardier Aerospace has announced that All Nippon Airways (ANA) group of Tokyo, Japan has placed a firm order for four Bombardier Q400 turboprop airliners.

ANA is scheduled to receive its first Bombardier Q400 in the summer of 2003 with deliveries continuing through 2004.

ANA group’s Bombardier Q400 aircraft will be operated by All Nippon Network Co. Ltd. They will be based at Osaka’s Itami airport and initially fly between Osaka and Kochi, a distance of 213 km.

The order, announced yesterday October 8, increases to 21 the number of Bombardier Q Series Dashâ 8 aircraft ordered by five Japanese airlines, of which 10 have been delivered. The ANA group accounts for nine of the 21 aircraft ordered.

The Bombardier Q400, with 68 to 78 seats, is the largest capacity aircraft in the Bombardier Aerospace turboprop family.
