Broadcom announces revenues of $1.8bn

Broadcom, a US supplier of integrated circuits (ICs) for broadband communications, has announced that net revenue for the third quarter of 2010 was $1.8bn (£1.1bn).

This represents an increase in net revenue of 12.6 per cent compared with $1.6bn in the second quarter of 2010 and an increase of 44 per cent compared with $1.3bn in the third quarter of 2009.

GAAP net income was $327m, or $0.6 per diluted share, compared with $278m, or $0.52 per diluted share, for the second quarter of 2010 and $85m, or $0.16 per diluted share, for the third quarter of 2009.
