GE acquires certain assets of Calnetix Power Solutions

Calnetix, a provider of motor and generator technologies, has announced that certain assets of its Calnetix Power Solutions (CPS) subsidiary have been acquired by infrastructure, finance and media company GE.

In addition to the CPS assets, GE also acquired certain waste-heat-recovery intellectual property from Calnetix and CPS.

Included in the assets acquired by GE is the CPS 125kW Cleancycle product.

Capstone Turbine, a producer of low-emission microturbine systems, has the exclusive right to distribute and integrate the Cleancycle product for microturbine applications, and GE will continue to supply Capstone pursuant to this agreement.
