Raytheon wins US Marine Corps equipment contract

Raytheon Technical Services, a subsidiary of defence contractor Raytheon, has received a $49.8m (£31.6m) contract to re-manufacture, overhaul and repair equipment primarily for the US Marine Corps Logistics Command (MCLC) in Albany, Georgia.

Additional work will be performed in MCLC, Barstow, California; Camp Pendleton, California; Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; and Okinawa, Japan.

The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract is a re-compete of the Secondary Reparables, or SECREPS, programme.

The new contract, with one base year and four one-year options, began on 1 October 2010 and ends on 30 September 2015, if all options are exercised.
