GE Capital Aviation Services in $6bn Boeing 737 aircraft order

Boeing and GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) have finalised a firm order for 85 737s, including 75 737 MAX 8s and 10 next-generation 737-800s, that is worth $6bn (£3.7bn) at list prices.

The order also allows for up to15 additional 737-800s. To date, GECAS has ordered a total of 580 aircraft directly from Boeing since 1995.

The 737 MAX incorporates CFM International LEAP-1B engines and is claimed to deliver the highest efficiency, reliability and passenger comfort in the single-aisle market.
