Martin Aerospace receives UK Steel Enterprise loan finance

Martin Aerospace, a Lanark-based engineering company, has received £100,000 of additional support from UK Steel Enterprise.

The company will use the loan finance to create 11 jobs and invest in state-of-the-art equipment to help it expand its aircraft engine component manufacture and assembly operations.

Martin Aerospace’s biggest contracts involve creating parts for the latest generation of engines for extra-wide-body aircraft such as Airbus and the Boeing Dreamliner.

The company is also engaged in improving engine design, working with Rolls-Royce on design-for-manufacture contracts.
