Schenck wins patent decision over Universal Balancing

The High Court has found that Universal Balancing’s Kiss-234 propshaft balancing machine infringed Schenck’s patent for a device and method for attaching balancing weights to rotors.

The technology at issue allows a balancing machine to be equipped with a multiple electrode holder to weld several weights on different points on a propshaft without operator intervention.

Universal Balancing is now subject to an injunction prohibiting it from any further infringement of Schenck’s patent.
